FEPM

FEPM is a unique fluoroelastomer that has superior amine resistance and electrical insulation compared to conventional fluoroelastomers. It is mainly composed of alternating copolymers of tetrafluoroethylene and propylene. The thermal and chemical stability of the polymers are achieved by the structure where almost all propylene units are positioned between the adjacent tetrafluoroethylene units on both sides.

FEPM elastomers provide strong chemical resistance against acids and bases like methanol, amines, ammonia, urea, and hydrochloric acid. They can handle heat and steam at temperatures up to 232°C (450°F), and offer several advantages over a standard FKM solution.
